PinUpCats Sphynx is a CFA/TICA registered cattery located near
the Outer Banks of NC, USA
I have been
active within the Sphynx breed and community since 2004. I breed for
quality, not quantity, and only have a few litters each year. All my
cats are scanned for HCM. Having a history with the breed allows me
good knowledge of my pedigrees and linage of my cats. I continue to
keep in touch with many of the wonderful families that have adopted
my Sphynx over the years.
PinUpCats, has always aimed
for health, type and temperament first and foremost . You can learn
more about me and my cats by visiting my cattery Facebook page of
I am currently the Sphynx Breed Council
Secretary for The Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA).
season, a number of my cats and their offspring are actively shown
in CFA and TICA. Many have earned National, Regional and Breed
awards. In the 2015-2016 show season, my kitten, GC NW PinUpCats
Supa Dupa Fly of Kuorii was KOTY “Kitten of the Year” in CFA’s
Regions 1-9 and “Best Kitten” in CFA’s Southern Region.
Always do your
research before committing to purchase a Sphynx from any breeder. In
your search for a Sphynx it is very important to ask breeders about
their involvement within the breed community and their goals as a
breeder. Talk to them over the phone whenever possible and take your
time learning about the breeder and the cats in their program.
Breeders who sell intact cats should be willing to mentor and help
those who do not have established breeding programs. Breeding should
not be a simple matter of making a profit, but should be centralized
around the breed, its health and standard.
cats should always come with registration papers from a major cat
association and breeders should be willing to talk to you about the
lines behind their cats. Please note that currently I am ONLY
working with the Sphynx breed and those allowable outcrosses as
defined by CFA. My cats do not participate in other breed programs
that are not listed as allowable outcrosses in CFA.
